The key ingredient to our success is the ability to develop strong working relationships with our clients. Our team is often brought onto a project in the early stages of the planning process, working with the architects, interior designers, landscape designers and lighting consultants to create a program that complements the architectural structure and interior design. Because every project is unique, our process begins by meeting with the client to thoroughly discuss any preliminary ideas, themes and parameters associated with the project. We can propose the best possible art program for the client's existing budget or we can submit an original budget, specifying the cost of each finished piece.

design

After initial client discussions, the design team researches the architectural style, artistic influences, regional history, culture, and even surrounding landscape. We review the architectural and interior plans to establish art locations and develop a cohesive design concept that maximizes the potential of the interiors. The team then creates concept boards to illustrate the proposed program and to engage in a visual dialogue with the client. Upon design approval, we determine the appropriate media, proper art placement and scale best suited to the environment.

procurement

After specifying each piece of artwork in the program, we utilize our extensive network of artists, craftspeople and resources to locate and purchase existing art or to commission custom art. When commissioning original work, our own in-house studio produces drawings, sketches and color mock ups for client review. Following approval, the design team selects the appropriate artist/studio, then provides ongoing art direction and manages critical timelines for all stages of production.

framing

Our design services include the capability to create "one of a kind" mat and framing solutions, including the design and production of custom-made frames for high-end art, which are not commercially available. In order to ensure the quality of the finished product, as well as timeliness and cost effectiveness on all client projects, we also have a dedicated framing department which is fully equipped to handle both high-end and high-volume production. As an additional service to meet all art sourcing needs, we will also reframe any clients' existing artwork which is incorporated into a new art program.
