Associate Executive Recruiter
Jackie Fogas is an associate executive recruiter with experience that ranges from recruiting to magazine writing to corporate and non-profit communications. The link that connects her experiences is her love of interviewing and learning. From her early career days as a writer for Southern Living magazine through her non-profit marketing and development positions, Jackie has focused on learning and communicating people’s stories in great depth, going beyond the obvious.
It’s that curiosity and fact-finding passion that led Jackie into the recruiting profession. Creating a happy marriage between the hiring company and the best-fit candidate involves a deep understanding of the client’s culture, current professional needs, and expected trajectory. Matching that with a candidate’s skills, leadership style, industry background, and personal considerations is a challenge that fits Jackie’s palette of skills.
“Talent acquisition is like marketing, in many ways. I’m ‘selling’ the client’s company and the position to the most appropriate ‘buyer’ – the best-fit candidate. With each interaction, I’m helping to build the client’s employer brand. And because I did extensive fact-checking in the publishing world, I find the fact-checking of a candidate’s background to be a natural fit,” Jackie said.
When she first tested the waters of recruiting several years ago, Jackie found quick success, and joining Parker Blake was a natural fit. “I like that Parker Blake is not just another high-volume executive recruiting firm. Regardless of the volume of placements we handle, the team takes the time to dive deep and assure a great fit in every situation. And we don’t recruit just for the immediate need; we always have long-term sustainability in mind. We all want what’s best for both the hiring company and the candidate over the long run. Beth has grown trusted relationships with so many great clients, and I can add to that stability with my work.”
Jackie is a graduate of Samford University and lives in greater Atlanta with her husband and two children.
